Roles and Duties
The County of Hawaii Fire Department is tasked with the delivery
of a myriad of essential public services that include fire protection and prevention,
pre-hospital emergency medical services, land and sea search and rescue, and hazardous
materials response.
Major Goals and Objectives
The primary goals and objectives of the Fire Department evolve
around its commitment to minimize losses associated with fires and other catastrophic
events. Obviously, the protection and preservation of life is paramount; however, the Fire
Department is also committed to reducing and minimizing the loss of property.
